Pruning Plants in the Garden
Planting a garden is half the battle. From the day your garden is planted, it will require maintenance to keep your flowers blooming and looking good all summer long.
Most plants must be pruned from time to time to keep them healthy and looking their best. Pruning can be done almost any time of the year, but you must be aware of the flowering and fruiting habits of the plants. Most plants benefit from some sort of regular pruning and maintenance. The trick is in know when to prune what.
It’s confusing, but rarely fatal if you prune at the wrong time. At worst, you could lose a years worth of blooms on a plant your prune at the wrong time of the year, since some bloom on new wood.
Pruning is one of the best things you can do for the plants in your garden and landscape.
